Personal injury mediations require focused preparation—because you’re often dealing with two distinct negotiation tracks at once: merits (liability) and quantum (damages). This introductory session gives you a clear, practical framework for preparing for both, so you can enter mediation with a plan, the right documents, and realistic settlement parameters.
Whether you’re attending your first personal injury mediation or want a more structured approach, you’ll learn how to assess the dispute, identify decision-makers and risk, and prepare your negotiation strategy in a way that supports resolution.
What we’ll cover
- How personal injury mediations typically run (and what makes them different)
- Preparing for merits disputes: liability issues, evidentiary gaps, credibility, contributory negligence, and risk analysis
- Preparing for quantum disputes: heads of damages, medico-legal reports, contingencies, and settlement ranges
- What to gather and exchange before mediation to avoid delays and deadlock
