Event Details
Child participation is a vital part of family-related matters, yet it’s often misunderstood in practice. Previously called “Voice of the Child”.
This professional led webinar provides a clear introduction to what child participation is (and what it is not), who may conduct child participation assessments, and how different assessment approaches work in real cases. We’ll also explore what should be included in a child participation report, the different ways children can participate, and how complex dynamics like parental alienation and alignment with one parent may present.
What we’ll cover
- What is child participation?
- Who can do a child participation assessment?
- Types of assessments and what is included in a report
- Different ways children can participate
- Parental alienation: key concepts and considerations
- Alignment with one parent: how it may show up and what to look out for
Who should attend
Ideal for attorneys, mediators, social workers, and HPCSA practitioners who want a stronger, more confident understanding of child participation in practice.
