Join us for a peer supervision role play on mediating Medical Merits.
What to expect
An interactive peer supervision CPD session focused on mediating merits in Medical Claim Disputes. This is a practical, skills-based role play designed to help mediators think through the unique dynamics and strategies.
In this session, you can expect:
- A role play scenario based on common Merits dispute themes and available documentation.
- Peer supervision-style feedback in a supportive environment, with structured reflection on what worked, what didn’t, and what you might do differently next time.
- Practical tools and language for managing the unique legal language involved in Merits mediations.
- A focus on mediator decision-making: intake considerations, managing power imbalances, dealing with “absent” stakeholders, and keeping the process safe and productive.
- Learning through observation (even if you’re not role-playing), including debriefing and shared insights from the group.
This session is ideal for mediators who want to sharpen their approach to complex, medical matters and build confidence handling conflict in a structured, ethical, and professional way.
CPD & certificate
- 3 mediation CPD points
- 3 Hours practical session
- Attendance for the full three hours is required to earn CPD points
- CPD points are awarded upon timely submission and successful assessment (where applicable)
- This event may include a task that must be completed to earn a certificate
