Dr Tania Holz

 

Dr Tania Holz is an Educational Psychologist based in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa. She is a specialist in the field of psychology (PhD: Child Psychology and Related Fields).

Dr Holz has worked with children and families since 1989 in her capacity as an educator and remedial teacher and later as an Educational Psychologist. She has experience and training with regard to psycho-educational assessments, intervention and diagnosis, psychotherapy and psycho-legal assessments and intervention within her scope of profession.

Dr Holz is accredited as a Family and Divorce Mediator, Parenting Coordinator and Supervisor of Mediators (SAAM accredited), Educational Psychology Interns and Psychologists (HPCSA). 

As an Educational Psychologist, she has 25 years’ experience in:

• therapy and intervention with children, adolescents, and adults
• therapy in relation to families
• psycho-educational assessments
• forensics: psycho-legal investigations, reintegration and bonding therapy, mediation of Parenting Plans and as Parenting Coordinator, Voice of the Child assessment (children’s views and wishes), sexual abuse in relation to children
• Educational Psychologist in the school setting (specialised and mainstream)

 

Dr Holz has formed part of the exco for various establishments over time: SAAM, EPASSA, and PSYSSA. She is a member of the Forensic Forum as well as the ProBono Initiative at the Germiston Court. Dr Holz has presented courses over time on topics such as ethics in the field as well as on psycho-educational and forensic processes.
