JP Venter

JP Venter is a seasoned mediator in medico-legal and other fields. His experience includes various management and advisory positions. He is currently in private practice as mediator and medico-legal practitioner, and he is a past Executive Director at the SA Medico-Legal Association (SAMLA). He is accredited as mediator in the Medical Negligence and Health Sector, Commercial and Family Law Sector.

Professionally he is a psychologist who has not only worked as medico-legal expert, but worked in the business world as MD of a development finance company and dealt as advisor with various sectors including insurance, construction and mining.

Apart from qualifications to register professionally he also completed a Master of Business Leadership.

 

Mediation Style:

JP mostly uses a facilitative style – where the parties are assisted to find their own suitable solution. He is also comfortable in a setting where the mediator or facilitator must be more challenging and intervening when required.

In family mediation settings he may consider special tariffs for qualifying participants.
